Motivational processes in sport and exercise settings. Antecedents and consequences of motivated behavior from theoretical, research, and application perspectives. Participation motivation in sport, intrinsic/extrinsic motivational orientations, achievement goals, and contemporary theories of exercise motivation. Prerequisites: KIN 840 or approval of department. Fall of odd years.
