Very sloppy method of teaching, you will be provided hours of videos of him speaking into the webcam with no slides. Your webcam videos will be supplemented with History channel documentaries. The discussion questions are odd to say the least. Overall Philip has a very lazy and poor method of teaching.

He is very caring and considerate towards students, he wants everyone to get a 4.0. However you do have to do the work in his class to do well this semester we had to read 5 novels on roman history and take a quiz on each of them and write a book review in a group. The midterm was worth 30% and the final is 40% of your grade.
