Have to read about 7 books throughout the semester, essentially 1/2 every week. Weekly blog due every Sunday night about books, not too hard. One big paper research paper (10 pages with sources) due a week before finals. One lecture every day that takes up the hour. Great guy and very understanding. I didn't mesh with the material but others might.

Be prepared for lots of reading and lecture, but the reading and lectures are both highly interesting. Professor Summerhill is much more interested in his students knowing concepts versus memorizing terms. He was very passionate about the topic and was always willing to help during and outside of class.
