Description
Prereq: None. Establishes a solid foundation for students interested in formulating and executing a strategy for developing new-to-the-world products in a technology-intensive business. Clarifies the interactions among competition, patterns of technological and market change, and the development of internal firm capabilities. Topics include "crossing the chasm" with new technologies, appropriating the returns from innovation, platform strategy, and the role of intellectual property and government regulations. Key conceptual frameworks are linked to applications in a variety of industry and case settings.
