Prereq: None. Provides an introduction to the basic theoretical and empirical contributions in corporate finance. Exposes students to the key methodological tools in modern corporate finance. Covers capital structure, corporate governance, agency problems, incomplete financial contracting, the market for corporate control, product market corporate finance interactions, corporate reorganization and bankruptcy, banking, and other selected topics. Primarily for doctoral students in finance, economics, and accounting. Final examination.
