This course is an introduction to the philosophy of law through a study of some of its major issues. Questions to be considered in the course may include "Is an unjust law no law at all?," "How robust is our obligation to follow the law, and what grounds that obligation?," "What is the purpose of law?," "Do we have natural rights?," "Is paternalism justified?," and "How do we justify legal punishment?" 3(3-0) D
