OTE 646 - Neuroscience

Description
Prerequisite: OTE 645. This course covers the foundations of neuroscience as they relate to the evaluation and treatment of occupational therapy clients. Topics include the properties of cells in the nervous system and major structures and functions of the central, peripheral, and autonomic nervous systems; sensory pathways, central processing and output mechanisms and how systems interact to influence occupational performance. Discussion of neurological diagnoses and theories for treatment is included. 4(3-2) S
