MUS 148 - Introduction to Music Teaching

Description
This course is an orientation to the music education profession and to the teacher education program. Students explore roles and responsibilities of music teachers, complete field observations (minimum of 10 hours), develop a preliminary portfolio, and complete projects designed to examine the skills involved in teaching music. The field observation component requires the student to carry educational liability insurance and register with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR). 1(1-1) F,S
