ANTHRO 7640 - Prehistory of the Greater Southwest

Description
(cross-leveled with ANTHRO 4640). The course will introduce students to the archaeology of aboriginal peoples of the American southwest and northwestern Mexico. The emphasis will be on prehistoric culture development from the Paleoindians to the arrival of the Spanish. Ethnographic and modern peoples will be discussed as well. Prerequisites: ANTHRO 2020 or ANTHRO 2021. Enrollment Requirements: Graduate standing is required.
