(same as POL_SC 4800, CNST_DEM 4800; cross-leveled with AMS 7800). Reading and discussion of Greek, Roman, and Early Christian treatises on politics and political life. Survey of the political institutions and procedures of the Greek city states and Roman Republic and Empire. Examination of contemporary Christian responses and adaptations. Recommended: AMS 1060 and junior standing.
