KIN 391 - Secondary Physical Education Methods and Practicum

Description
This course has two major components. First, methods coursework is done at MSU which provides teaching strategies for classroom management, planning, instruction, and assessment of teacher as well as student behavior. Current theories of motivation are explored and applied in this course. Second, forty-five contact hours with secondary students will provide extensive opportunity to apply current practices learned in the classroom. Prerequisites: KIN 301, Admission to Teacher Education, and it is highly recommended that students take KIN 340 prior to enrolling in this course. Course restricted to Physical Education majors. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: Student must complete KIN 301, Admissions to Teacher Education, and is highly recommended that KIN 340 is completed before enrolling in this class.
