KIN 341 - Practicum for Elementary Physical Education

Description
Provides prospective physical education teachers with active participation in the complete process of teaching developmentally appropriate physical education to children in grades K-5. This approach to teaching is based on evidence based-practices and serves as the content for national standards for K-12 physical education (SHAPE America). Participants will receive a minimum of thirty contact hours with children during which time they will practice and refine instructional skills taught in KIN 340. This course should be taken with ED 323L. Prerequisites: KIN 340 and Admission to Teacher Education. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: Student must complete KIN 340 and be admitted into teacher education before enrolling in this class.
