This course will provide a general overview of neurologically-based communication disorders, dysphagia, voice disorders, and stuttering. Course work will emphasize characteristics, procedures for assessment, and general treatment approaches for these communication disorders. Five hours of clinical observation are required. Class Notes: This is a completely online course that requires a significant time commitment. You will need excellent time management and self-motivation to meet deadlines. You are required to use your MSU email account, have access to your own personal computer, and regular access to the Internet. Some courses have additional requirements such as software, proctors, or live sessions. It is your responsibility to ensure that throughout the semester your computer meets the minimum technology requirements along with the additional course requirements which are available online at www.minotstateu.edu/online. Credits for online courses count toward totals for financial aid, but are not covered under the tuition cap and are not eligible for MSU tuition waivers.
