Jap Econ (Econ 335) could be so much more interesting. Class was boring. His lecturing inaudible (although in all fairness he does wear hearing aid). Course completely unstructured. You'll be lucky if he writes on the board. Text was ok. To do (relatively) well you must write EVERY single word he speaks and make the best of it before the exam.

Nice guy. He may sound confusing and off topic, but listen carefully and you'll be fine (i suggest sitting close up). Papers and exams were very fair. Although he isn't the greatest lecturer around, the book was helpful in this class.
