A multidisciplinary and historical study of the development of the cultures and civilizations of Latin America from pre-Columbian days to the present. Emphasis on such topics as geography, and the gradual evolution of the different forms present in architecture, music, painting, literature, history, politics, education, art and film of Latin America. Prereq: SPAN 3001 or SPAN 3005; or cons. of dept. ch.
