The internship is designed to be a pre-professional work-related experience at an off-campus location. The student intern will be supervised by an on-site professional and by the Biology and Biomedical Sciences Internship Coordinator. Internships must be approved by the Internship Coordinator and Career Services prior to their commencement. Forty-five hours per credit and completion of a journal. Prerequisites: Second semester sophomore standing, a minimum science GPA of 2.7, CHEM 111, 112, 115, 116 or equivalent, and a grade of C or higher in BIOL 130 and 131. To be eligible for heatlhcare internships, students must have demonstrated that they adhere to ethical principles and have the disposition necessary to be an empathetic healthcare worker.
