EXPL 290 - Seminar in Community-based Service and Leadership

Description
This course is a seminar course focusing on community-based service and leadership through service-learning, in which students will work 40 hours over the semester at a non-profit organization. Outcome: Students will gain professional experience at an organization, while reflecting on their service experience in the context of asset-based community development, civic engagement, social justice, leadership in the community, and service for the common good. Class Notes: This class satisfies the Engaged Learning requirement in the Service Learning category. Requirement Designation: Service Learning.
