CPST 310 - Accounting Principles and Application

Description
CPST courses are restricted to students in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies.This course introduces major concepts in the areas of financial and managerial accounting and develops understanding of accounting process and principles. Students will gain a deeper understanding of financial statements, accounting mechanics, accrual accounting, financial planning, variance analysis, internal controls and financial and financial analysis. Outcomes: Students will gain a deeper understanding of financial statements, accounting mechanics, accrual accounting, financial planning, variance analysis, internal controls and financial and financial analysis. The students will complete a final course project that demonstrates their ability to manage the financial data of a fictional organization.
