URBS 155G - Introduction To Archaeology

Description
This course introduces the student to Anthropological Archaeology - the study of past human culture using material remains from an urban perspective. Course emphasizes obtaining goals of archaeological research through: survey, excavation, artifact analysis and interpretation. This course provides a basic understanding of how we learn about ancient societies and how this teaches us about ourselves. This course is cross listed as ARCH 155G and SOCY 155G, Introduction to Archaeology. (OTM). Class Notes: Note: This class is cross listed with SOCY and ARCH. This class held over the internet; student must have internet access. First time online/blended students must successfully complete the Canvas Student Orientation (CSO) located in Canvas before access to this class is permitted. Enrollment Requirements: None.
