Description
The science of food nutrients, their role in the body, and their effects on health and disease. Topics include digestion, absorption, metabolism of nutrients, food energy and nutrient requirements throughout the life cycle. This course is designed for Health and Wellness associate degree students and Science majors. Natural Science Core Course. (OTM, TAG). Class Notes: Note: This class held over the internet; student must have internet access. First time online/blended students must successfully complete the Canvas Student Orientation (CSO) located in Canvas before access to this class is permitted. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: Grade of C or better in CHMY 161 or CHMY 171 or division approval.
