BIOG 156 - Hiv/Aids

Description
The study of the biology and issues which surround the transmission and containment of HIV, the virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS). Current medical protocol, the political ramifications of the disease and the challenge of dealing with human behaviors, attitudes and social stigmas will be addressed. This course is cross-listed as HLED 155. Class Notes: Note: This class is held at LCCC Elyria campus and is video-conferenced to other LCCC locations. Faculty may sometimes instruct from other locations and video-conference to this class. This course has computer component; student must have internet access to complete the course requirements (i.e. CANVAS activities, online homework, etc.). Enrollment Requirements: None.
