It is essential to keep careful records of all transactions, including: the purchase of assets, the incurring of debts, the owner's contributions of capital assets, revenue and expenses. This course is designed to develop a simple system of record keeping which will enable a firm's management to record the financial transactions, which occur in a typical retail florist business, and then to translate these transactions into a format, a balance sheet and an income statement. The accounting system, including both the recording function and the translation of the data into financial statements, will help to provide answers to critical questions relevant to the firm. This is a course in the Professional Certified Florist Certificate.
