TESL 630 - Texts For Second Language Learners

Description
This course uses literary texts to support communication and language development for second language learners to: expand linguistic knowledge; develop critical and creative use of language; absorb the values expressed in literature; identify and use effective strategies to develop interest in reading literature in the target language; become familiar with the sociopolitical background of the target society; and understand how communication takes place in a particular society/community. Class Notes: SLC/USAL program only.
