GENOCIDE AND WAR CRIMES 3 cr. Examines the period from the First World War to the present. Close study of the evolution of international understanding of genocide, crimes against humanity, and human rights violations through selected case studies. Focus on social, political, economic, and cultural factors in the perpetration of atrocities. Investigates the development of human rights protection and adjudication, as well as potential for reconciliation.
