ME 65100 - Advanced Finite Element Method For Solids

Description
This course teaches advanced finite element techniques for solid mechanics stress and heat transfer. Those include: techniques for modeling beams, plates and 2D/3D continua with material and geometric non-linearity; frequency domain, time domain and quasi-static solutions; and frictional contact. Applications include: modal analysis; stress-analysis; structural dynamics; metal forming and crash analysis.
