Description
Introduction to the major psychoactive drugs and how they act upon the brain to influence behavior. The role of drugs as therapeutic agents for various clinical disorders and as probes to provide insight into brain function also is discussed. Class Notes: PREREQUISITES: PSY P101 OR BIOL L100 OR HIGHER, AND 30 CREDIT HOURS THIS CLASS MEETS CONCURRENTLY WITH PSY P667. THIS COURSE HAS BEEN APPROVED TO ENFORCE THE IU NORTHWEST ATTENDANCE AND COURSE COMMITMENT POLICY.
