Examination of the role of rhetoric in public discourses, policies, and practices shaping political life in U.S. culture. Students analyze the strategies employed by politicians, citizens, and activists in relation to the political process. Exploration of how texts participate in struggles to define political practice, citizenship, and national identity in America. Class Notes: This is a 100% online class taught by IU South Bend.
