SOC 301 - Major Social Thinkers

Description
A study of classic and modern social theories. Classical theorists such as Marx, Durkheim, Simmel and Weber will be studied along with the modern theoretical approaches of functionalism, symbolic interactionism, conflict theory and ethnomethodology. These theories will be tested against modern principles of the logic of theory construction. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: SOC 101 or 102.
