PSY 3220 - Psychology of Drug Habituation and Addiction

Description
Behavioral effects of sedative hypnotic compounds, stimulants, convulsants, anti-psychotic agents, psychedelics, hallucinogens, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, and other drugs of psychological influence will be examined. Consideration will be given to attitudes toward drugs, theories of drug addiction and treatment. Methods of therapy will be discussed. Comparisons will be made with use of other methods for behavioral change. Class Notes: HYBRID COURSECROSS-LISTED WITH DAA 3220 HY.
