MUS 111 - Mus Theory I

Description
Study of the elements of music theory, covering pitch, rhythm, scales, intervals, basic harmony, melody, voice leading, and diatonic triads in functional harmony. Note: Two class hours a week. Prerequisites: Satisfactory score on the Undergraduate Placement Examination in Music Theory or a grade of C or better in MUS 101, and concurrent enrollment in MUS 113. For music majors or minors, or consent of instructor
