I don't understand why anybody would spend their life thinking about how a communication channel sends information strategically. The only reason seems that it pays for his tenured job. But his research makes no sense & why a PhD student would spend 5 years thinking about this stuff and then go to industry unless you are from a developing nation

Very hard exams, and long homework assignments. Course notes are handwritten, not organized well, and hard to read.
