ENG 097 - Read, Write And Think Critically

Description
Prepares students for the rigors of college by developing the skills necessary for analyzing and synthesizing information. In this writing-intensive course, students will read, analyze, discuss and critically respond to fiction and non-fiction prose. Activities include analytical writing, composition of paragraphs and essays, active reading annotation, group learning and grammar instruction. Carries no transfer credit. NOTE: This course is intended for students who place into either ENG 098 or RDG 090. Prerequisite: Required placement exam scores for ENG 098 or RDG 090.
