PE 139 - Beginning Self-Defense

Description
Introduces the dimensions of wellness, the components of health-related fitness, and the behavior change process. Students establish personal wellness goals and participate in exercise and physical activity to improve fitness, promote health and wellness and self-defense proficiency. The course also introduces basic self-defense concepts, the components of unarmed combat and martial art skills that are practical for personal protection. (W)
