ARST 3170 - Beginning Digital Arts I

Description
This course is an introductory course in digital art and video as art. It presupposes no prior experience and does not have any prerequisites. This course introduces students to the use of digital technology in art practice. The basics of digital imaging and processing for print, sound, and video are explored. Students learn the fundamentals of working with current editing software, color management, correction, resolution, scanning, printing, as well as current video software and the use of digital video equipment. This course will introduce current graphic and video industry standard and from the perspective of using this medium to create conceptually driven fine art. (1-5-3)
