EN 102 emphasizes critical reading and analysis to hone the writing and thinking skills begun in EN 101. Students engage with the ideas of others, using research as a process of discovery to deepen and refine their own thinking. Producing a variety of texts, students learn to communicate with precise and intentional language. Coursework includes writing-based projects that incorporate rhetorical analyses, information literacy, ambitious research, and metacognition. The course empowers students to enter existing conversations in ways that are meaningful, ethical, and informed. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: EN 101 (C or higher).
