ARTS 261 - Introduction to Sculpture

Description
Introduction to fundamentals of three-dimensional forms and modes of expression involving creative problems in the organization of space, mass, volume, line, and color. Correlated lectures and demonstrations are used to acquaint students with those aspects of sculptural history and theory relevant to studio projects. Course is intended for both general students, and art majors. Prerequisite: ARTS 141 or permission of instructor. Recommended course: ARTS 335. Offered once a year. Class Notes: Pre-Req: Intro to Drawing Class ARTS 141. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: ARTS 141 or 146.
