Description
Advanced techniques in mathematical physics: calculus of variation, coordinate transformations, tensor analysis, special functions, series solutions of differential equations, orthogonal functions, partial differential equations, numerical techniques for the solution of differential equations, complex variables, integral transforms, probability, Monte Carlo methods. Class Notes: Prerequisite: PHYS 300 with a grade of C or better. Enrollment Requirements: Prerequisite: PHYS 300.
