DAA 2000 - Introduction to Dance Styles

Description
This introductory course is intended to introduce students to the full variety of dance styles. Students will sample ballet, contemporary, jazz/hip hop, ballroom, tap and cultural dance (Indian, African, etc.). The course is enjoyable, accessible and intended for the non-dancer. The class will educate students, giving them some background and history of each dance style balanced with a practical experience in the studio. Class Notes: This is a hybrid section of this course and is a blend of online and on-campus instruction. The class will meet at the campus and days noted on the MyFSCJ schedule. The remainder of the class is online and must be accessed in Blackboard through MyFSCJ. Students must have stable internet access.
