ASL 1300 - Linguistics of American Sign Language

Description
This course is for the advanced signer with limited exposure to American Sign Language. American Sign Language, as used by deaf adults, is studied with an emphasis on the phonological, morphological, semantic, syntactical, and metaphorical aspects of American Sign Language. Current research in the field is examined and discussed. Enrollment Requirements: Pre-requisites: ASL 1130 and ENC 1101 or ENC 1101C each with a grade "C" or better.
