CE 291T - Reliability Methods in Engineering Design

Description
This course will offer introduction to applied probability theory. Bayesian analysis of model uncertainties, formulation of structural reliability for components and systems, approximate solutions by second-moments, first- and second-order reliability methods (FORM and SORM), the response surface method, simulation methods, risk-based optimal design and probabilistic design. (Offered Spring 2019). Enrollment Requirements: Course/section open only to post-baccalaureate students.
