An examination of the theories and models that explain the interactions among psychological, social, and environmental factors in determining and changing wellness behaviors. Emphasis is placed on practical application of course material to physical activity and dietary behaviors. Topics include theories and models of motivation, barriers and facilitators of wellness behaviors, and other considerations. Prerequisite: HLTH 105 Personal and Community Health and an introductory psychology or sociology course.
