Practicum Seminar: This course is taken in conjunction with the practicum. Using peer collaboration and self-reflection, teacher candidates explore strategies to improve instruction, promote positive student behavior and social-emotional growth, and provide leadership at a school-wide level. The course also serves as a culminating experience in which candidates produce a Teacher Work Sample (TWS), a multi-step performance assessment that models the planning-teaching-assessment cycle of the professional educator, and that provides evidence of the candidate’s readiness to teach. This course is cross-listed with BIOL 4012, CHEM 4012, HIST 4012, and MATH 4012. Prerequisite: Stage II Review.
