ENGL 2600 - The Bible as Literature

Description
The course examines the style, narrative techniques, symbols, and historical settings of the Old and New Testaments. We examine the Bible as a work of literature by thinking about and identifying themes, forms, and historical and cultural contexts. We read the Bible in translation and will reflect on how this affects our interpretations. ART, LIT. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1100 and ENGL 1200.
