SYO 3400 - Medical Sociology

Description
An examination of illness, behavior, biomedical and traditional healing systems from a comparative perspective. By analyzing illness cross-culturally, sociologists and health care providers can better understand the interrelatedness of technology, ecology, and health in larger populations.

This class was the class that I did the most work for, but I probably got the most out of. Dr. Miller is extremely caring yet professional and always gives everyone an equal chance at asking questions or sharing opinions. I really look up to her!

I enjoyed having Dr O'Bryan as my professor. She is very knowledgable about sociology and you can tell she is passionate about it. Class is mandatory and there was quite a bit of required writing. A lot of reading in the textbook but its not hard. She is very flexible if students need more time and is always willing to help. Take her!!
