ANTR 342 - Medical Anthropology

Description
Prerequisite: sophomore standing. Satisfies: a university graduation requirement–global studies. This course offers an understanding of the anthropology of medicine, curing versus healing, the concept of biomedicine and its role in today's world and other perspectives on medicine and medical practice. A review of folk and professional medical systems is included.
