Although it was not easy, I would recommend Barry. Class consisted of a lot of lecture and in-class mapping labs. If you are willing to learn how to produce awesome maps or get into the GIS field - this course will help a LOT! Barry is very helpful when you ask him. He puts you to work; however, I feel prepared to pursue more GIS classes at EIU!

I enjoyed his class. He was very knowledgeable about the topics covered, and while the lectures weren't the most interesting, you'll get something out of it if you pay attention (or you can just play games on your laptop). Labs were generally pretty easy and really reinforced the topics - frequently only took about 30 minutes to complete. Cool guy.
