NUHL 425 - Disaster Response/Recovery

Description
This course is designed to provide students with the theory and evidence-based practice principles needed to apply primary, secondary and tertiary care during and after disasters. Emphasis is on the role of the professional in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team during the triage and follow-up care of disaster victims. Prerequisite: Bachelor degree students who have junior standing and have permission of the instructor. Preferences is given to disciplines such as human services, psychology, sciences, and educational leadership.
