POS 2112 - State and Local Government

Description
Prerequisite: Appropriate test scores in reading and writing or exemption from placement testing. Meets Gordon Rule and General Education requirements. This course is specifically designed to introduce the student to a wide variety of concepts and controversies associated with politics and public policy in our state and municipal government. A special emphasis is placed upon government and politics in the state of Florida; however, course content will review several states for comparative analysis. The course material provides student-centered opportunities for growth regarding critical thinking and problem-solving within the discipline of political science.
