ELED 4600 - Student Teaching

Description
Demonstrating competence in developing, implementing, and assessing curriculum based on learners' needs and district, state and national standards, exhibiting classroom and behavioral management skills, and collaborating with specialist. Consideration of issues related to the professional status and activity of teachers with reference to philosophical foundations, communication, job seeking skills, and professional organization will be interwoven.prereq: Successful completion of Blocks One, Two, and Three courses and associated field experiences, admission to Student Teaching, no grad credit max crs 24; 2 completions allowed. Class Notes: Class meeting times will vary. In person and/or face-to-face (F2F) remote classes will have variation in class delivery and student attendance. Instructors will provide in person, verbal, and/or written communication for class requirements and expectations. Exams may be both in person at UMD and online.After registration, visit the class in Canvas. Instructor(s) will provide more information as it becomes available. Make registration changes before the start of class. Student teachers will be required to attend an online synchronous edTPA seminar each Wednesday throughout the semester from 5:30-6:45 pm; students will also be required to attend an in person student teaching Boot Camp on Tuesday, Aug 30, 2022, 8:30 am - 1:30 pm, location TBA.
