LINGUIST 497 - Second Language Acquisition and Research

Description
Addresses historical and current perspectives on second language acquisition. SLA is the study of processes that contribute to learning a language other than the first language. The course will focus on linguistic, cognitive, and sociocultural processes that contribute to the acquisition of the L2. Research methodologies, neuroimaging, and data interpretation will be emphasized. Recommended prerequisite (for Neuroscience majors): Neuroscience 101 or 102. Instructor: Andrews
